ABOUT JUMOKE KASIM

Jumoke Kasim is a songwriter, a wife and mother of four adorable girls and a homemaker. Olajumoke kasim hails from south west of Nigeria. She started her music ministry as a member of the choir at the early age of 8 with Christ Apostolic Church Sabo, Ile-Ife, Osun State. She is a member of Chosen Generation of the Redeemed Christian church of God, City of Praise Parish in Abu-Dhabi, United Arab Emirate.

However, she launched into professional singing in 2014 and has been reaching for the sky ever since.  She has ministered through songs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi where she is currently based and shared divine moments on the podium with Bolanle Ojo; ORIKI OLODUMARE.
Olajumoke is a graduate of Accounting & Management and Masters in Educational Management and Planning from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and University of Lagos, Lagos State respectively.
Her oncoming song, ’’BABA ONYE OMA’’ is a new single inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT, composed and sung by Olajumoke kasim. It’s a song that will inspire every listener to pray because of its rich prophetic declarations borne out of the womb of prayers.

Born & raised in the heart of lusaka, zambia, olivia began singing At a young age while in sunday school. Her recording career kicked off in 2009 with hip hop group s.l.i.c.e. She performed as a hip hop dancer while developing her vocal skills with major features on s.l.i.c.e’s go hard 1 & 2 albums. By 2010 olivia recorded alongside     artists such as jo-z jay, geo, mag44, tio & the lyricist. She captured hearts with her powerful performances on songs like ‘automatic’ & the famous ‘freezing world’ single in 2011. In the mean time she still continued to perform as a dancer & singer with s.l.i.c.e without any intentions to rush into  releasing an album.

Emotions ep is not a marketing strategy but instead a project aimed at getting people to emotionally connect with olivia. It is a special dedication to people going through trying times in life. The songs on the project were inspired by some of olivia’s personal experiences and crafted by the production and writing skills of geo.
Currently, olivia serves as a worship leader in the youth ministry at deliverance church under bishop fortune mwiza. She is the first lady of the nativez as a recording & performing artist.

Every edition of the concert has always left something graceful in the lives of its audience and this year promises to be better as the momentum for the event has built up till now.

 After four weeks of keen contest and some classic, wonderful and eccentric display of performances by the contestants of 2015's Rising Star Gospel Talent Show Season 2  as well as with the proper musical training and pruning by the Academy's instructors,  the final show down for the Rising Star Gospel talent show  grand prize is scheduled to hold this Friday, December 11th as the 5 finalists WONDY, DAVID,DEE DEE,TOPE AND ABIA are set to compete head to head for a chance to clinch grand prize of 1million naira.  

The competition which had 16 contestants in camp, saw the eviction of 11 contestants and this pruned down the number to the current 5 finalists mentioned here. 

Rising Star Season 2 judges are Victor Bassey, Mr. Dehneice and Najite David. 

The judges say; 
'THE 5 FINALISTS ARE JUST TOO  PHENOMENAL AND TOO GOOD, WE DON'T KNOW WHO WILL WIN.'

With the grand finale scheduled to take place this Friday 11th of December 2015 at DESTINY INTERNATIONAL MISSION, EWET HOUSING (UYO) by 5pm, there have been lots of aspersions cast and heightened anticipation from the audience and viewers camp. 

DEE DEE and WONDY are known for their strong vocal dexterity,  TOPE, ABIA AND DAVID are known for their vagarious Worship appeal.

 Each of this contestants have successfully made an indelible mark in the minds of the judges and the audience  through their thrilling and mind-blowing ministrations, But will this guarantee them the number 1 position in the competition?

Here in Gospel City Naija, it is an open fact that we love Zambian gospel music. Today, we got a hint from one of the country's gospel music shapers and it is in relation to a current change that has occurred in the Zambian gospel music scene. He told us a press release would be sent to that effect and below, we bring you the said release;

Popularly known for her debut single “Shooting Star” Carmine has wowed audiences around with her amazing voice and presence. After her second single she took to the background on a journey of growth and self-discovery as an artist as well as an individual. Her little break from the lime light has seen her grow in faith and talent and has seen her discover herself more as an Artist, a Rhema Student and individual.


2016 is set to be an awesome year for the song bird and this comes with a new package that she wishes to reveal to the public. One of the first changes we are expecting to see is her name change; it’s now official that Carmine will now be known by her birth names Esther Chungu. This is what Esther had to say about her name change, “I want to be remembered by my real name. I strongly feel the names Esther Chungu have had a great impact over my life and I realized how much these names mean to me”. Esther Chungu wishes to impact other people’s lives through her original identity and names. 

This change has not been easy but it’s something she strongly believes she has to do, “Carmine is a great name and one of the reasons I agreed to use it was to avoid the mix up of whether or not I’m Abel Chungu’s sister… lol Well Esther Chungu are my names and I would love to be addressed by my true and authentic identity.”

The name change is not the only surprise the song bird has up her sleeve; Esther Chungu is now officially signed under new management, a new record label called Brave Only Music that has been founded by Mr Magnus Mando and Mr Steven Mwale. Mr Mwale spoke highly of the development, “From the first day I saw Esther Chungu and Chitalu on stage at bittersweet I knew that their amazing talent would speak to many, and on the 5thof December 2015 we officially got her on the label. We are very excited to help create a platform for this young and amazing talent to fully and boldly express her God given talent and help with her passion to reach out to people.” Esther Chungu joins label mate Mag44 on the Brave Only Music artist roster and with her signing; new music is set to drop in 2016. When asked to send her shout out Esther Chungu had this to say, “I would like to take this time to thank the Bittersweet family who have always believed in me from day one! I’m grateful to Mr Kapembwa, Mr Enock and Mr Mwape for playing a role in my growth as an artist. And also to all my fans I love you all and I thank God for you.”

SPECIAL: Meet DeeDee, Winner of Rising Star Talent Hunt Season 2

Rising Star Gospel Show season two finally came to an unforgettable end as Kosu Dinipere (Dee Dee) took home the one million naira grand prize amidst thick competition from the super five. The super five which had Kosu Dinipere (Dee Dee), Abia Akan (Abiyah), Wonderful Egege (Wondy), David Desai (David) and the last girl standing, Tope Akinola (Tope).

 The five finalists thrilled the audience with different expression of their singing talent and that got the judges and audience confused on who to vote for or who will be winner of Rising Star Gospel Talent season 2.

The Judges for the night were, Mr. Dehniece, Najite and Victor Bassey and they carried out all judgments with all manner of professionalism.  Yutee, Precious Emmanuel, Michy Akpabio and Itoro were the guest artistes for the night. They all gave the audience reasons to scream and shout due to their ‘wowcious’ performances.

The moment everyone was waiting for was the announcement of the winner by the show comperes, Chimere Ekeoma and Vera Frank. As suspense and great tension filled the hall, David was announced the 2nd runner Up, Abia Akan, the 1st runner up while Dee Dee was announced winner and he took home 1 million naira. The first and second runner up got 500,000 naira each while Wondy and Tope were given 200,000 naira each for being part of the super five.

Meanwhile, the project Manager , Mr. Charles Emmanuel was full of joy for the success of the show. He thanked God for grace that has kept the project running, the project sponsors, and crew members for contributing their quota to the success of the show. Mr. Charles asked all the contestants not to relent their effort in waving the gospel flag musically.
