FLO is undeniably one of the gospel music ministers that have been a plus to gospel music in Africa. His music can be said to be one of the best quality we have listened to and the impact resounds from Nigeria and into other countries.
Here, he pours his heart out as tips on hard issues that have affected the growth of gospel music and we believe every gospel artiste should be wary of them.
Last month, we had Nathaniel Bassey speak on the what the gospel is about in music and what it is not. MDo go ahead and read this one...Today, Mr. Florocka takes the podium to speak further on this and more..

ATTENTION: Music Ministers Of The Gospel!
WRITTEN BY FLO
Please, please and please stop pushing sub-standard musical materials out there! Seek the counsel of 'tested and trusted' music professionals and ministers (in tune with the times) before making your music public.
If we truly profess to have the mind of Christ, then it is time to stop promoting blunders and 'mediocrity'. It's bad enough that the impression about 'gospel music' isn't exactly the most impressive. Publishing substandard musical materials only makes it worse.
That's one of the countless reasons most sponsors are unwilling to part ways with their money to invest in gospel music. If you need help, seek assistance! Think of the GLOBAL impact your music will make. Get your focus off the MONEY TO BE MADE. Think IMPACT! Don't just think out of the box - think CONSTRUCTIVELY and METHODICALLY. Be very INTENTIONAL and STRATEGIC.
Success is never a FLUKE! If you need help with SONGWRITING or MUSIC PRODUCTION, speak to gifted writers and producers regardless of whether you can afford them or not, and be willing to pay the price for your perceived 'call and dream' if in reality they both exist or co-exist. Strive for excellence and quit making a mockery of your music and the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Music is an ART, not just a tool for making money and making christianese propaganda! Wake up! Desist from that 'competition' mindset. Don't lean on your church or pastor to fund all your dreams and then accuse them of lacking understanding when your 'project' fails to harness traction. Get that dirty-stinking 'I MUST BE FAMOUS' attitude out of your mind and be prepared to work and PERFECT your gift.
If you're not given the gift of being a 'recording Artist', bow out of the scene and be content with wherever Jesus Christ places you. You don't necessarily have to be in the faces of all men to succeed. And if you are called to be a 'recording Artist', ENGAGE and DIGEST the WORD of God! That's where the 'kronjè' lies, not that 'illusive' world of 'hits'.
Enough of this unwholesome music being placed out there. Develop your craft, perfect your art and wait for your kairus! Heaven will not endorse mediocrity!!!
